Follow your local host, and after jumping into the car,you will start driving a step outsideAthens, along the scenic coastlineof Athen Riviera.What a better way to start your small tripthan a traditional greek coffee or the modern freddo, combined with the supertastybougatsa( pastry with fyllo and a sweet cream inside).You are in good hands,because yourlocal friend will take you at a local cafe a few metres from the sea, difficult to find during atypical touristic visit at the area.

After having enjoyed the typical greek coffee break( its part of our culture!), now it is timefor some leisure and swimming at an amazing local beach.At this part of the trip, it is quitesure that you will find yourselves in a great dilemma:another option to cool down and enjoyyour swim is the famous Vouliagmeni Lake.Located at a natural setting,few metres from thesea,this lake is a a small brackish-water lake fed by underground springs and saltwater fromthe sea, resulting in an amazing thermal spa where visitors enjoy swimming with small funnyfish nibbling your toes clean for you!

Your next stop is the archaeological site of Cape Sounion, guarded by its impressive Templeof Poseidon( God of waters):built in the 5th century bc, on an edge cliff surrounded by watersfrom three sides,the temple amazes the guest for its history and mythology related to it andat the same time offers a panoramic view of the Aegean sea.Let your local host arrange theschedule, so that you can be there just on time to admire the view of the sunset, which isquite a once in a lifetime experience.
