One Day Local project was born from the need of travelers from all over the world to explore local life and enjoy experiences away from the touristic crowds. At the same time,many locals live their local lifestyle separately from tourists, even though they would be super excited to interact with travelers and share their way of life and local experiences with them.
This was the spark that put up the fire in our heart and motivated us to make our dream come true:connect travelers from every country in the globe with local Athenians and create interaction between them. If you think about it, love for food, laughters,walking together,travelling together, sharing knowledge and local experiences are “ spoken” at the same language globally!
We are a team full of passion,inspiration, positive vibes and love for our country.That is also,one of the reasons we created One Day Local, as we want to share our experience,secrets and deep knowledge of beautiful Greece.We have all been tourists in a country and realized how important is to have a local insider to guide you through.That’s why all the tours are handpicked and hosted by local guides and certified tour guides.
If there is an outline best describing what we want to do,is the following bottom line phrase that came out at the end of our team’s first meeting few years ago at a small cafe’ in Plaka almost midnight:
